Data Planning in the Dual Status Youth Initiatives: Initial Suggestions

This first article launches a new series of resources developed to support data-related efforts in jurisdictions undertaking dual status youth initiatives and probation system reviews. It is targeted to help jurisdictions more effectively and efficiently collect, report and manage data related to dual status youth. The article provides a helpful data construct to support efforts at improving outcomes for dual status and juvenile justice involved youth.

Gene Siegel, Consultant to the RFK National Resource Center and its Dual Status Youth and Probation System Review Practice Networks, specializes in data management, planning, and research for the juvenile justice system to improve, manage, and monitor organizational and program performance.
