Goals for Change

MacArthur Foundation and its grantees have developed a working framework for a model juvenile justice system.

Action Networks

In addition to the four focus states, Models for Change recruits other state and local partners into Action Networks devoted to accelerating reform in particular issue areas. With the assistance of Models for Change partners and national experts, Action Networks are working on reducing racial disparities in the juvenile justice system, finding better ways to identify and treat court-involved youth with mental health needs, and improving juvenile defense policy and practice.

DMC Action Network

The DMC Action Network is a Models for Change-supported forum for sharing knowledge and accelerating progress in the reduction of racial and ethnic disparities in the juvenile justice system.

The Mental Health/Juvenile Justice Action Network

The Mental Health/Juvenile Justice Action Network is an effort to establish a leadership community at the forefront of mental health and juvenile justice issues.

The Juvenile Indigent Defense Action Network

The Juvenile Indigent Defense Action Network is devoted to improving access to and quality of counsel representing youth in delinquency proceedings.
